about madeline

(She/her)

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Washington and am passionate about helping my clients find peace with their relationship with food, cope with anxiety, and foster healthy relationships. I received my Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University after studying Psychology at University of Puget Sound.

My work experience spans several clinical settings, such as residential treatment for eating disorders, university campus counseling, and inpatient care for adolescents. I am grateful to reach 10 years of working in the mental healthcare field this year.

My goal is for therapy to feel conversational and comfortable, but also structured enough for clients to gain tangible coping skills and make meaningful change. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is important because making sure you feel safe and heard matters greatly to me.

My work is relational and client-centered. Evidence-based modalities of treatment are foundational to my practice, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Family Systems Theory. When working with clients struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating behaviors, or body image, my approach aligns with the Health-at-Every-Size (HAES), and Intuitive Eating philosophies.
